1. Llywelyn

Llywelyn was a great 13th century Welsh leader, who ensured that his nation be ruled by Welsh law, not English. This was written into the Magna Carta, his namesake and grandson was the last Celtic prince in Wales.

Carved upon the stone, where the brave have fallen
Cradled by the land, of the dragon call
Ein Llyw Olaf, Olaf true
Oaken leaves surround, where your name is ringing
Hallowed by the ground and the mist is singing
Llyw Olaf, Olaf true
Llywelyn

And it is all not forsaken
And what was once is here and found
And through the portal is taken
What was once to here now

Now your will has been
Woven in the world
Whose law you fought to free
And the children singing
Llyw Olaf, Olaf true
Llywelyn

2. Machines in Merlin's way

A tribute to the immortal Arthur, his visionary Merlin and The Lady of the Lake, guardian of the sword Excalibur. Many believe they symbolize the Celtic spiritual revival that is happening today.
As the fog formed thick to find her
Dragon's breath all over the slain
And the spell of years would bind her
I'm sifting through poetic remains
To feel it hauled away
As the rose sun sets upon the lake
Under heavy hands she faded away
She still guards the sword you'd kill to take
To use against her, when you lay
Machines in Merlin's way
Eventide, ever strong
Holding sight, Avalon
Where a king resides
In future days, already gone
As the day became more blinding
The mystic chose to hide away
As the way became more binding
Under heavy chains, you lay
Machines in Merlin's way

4. Cricket Song

A token of appreciation for our small friends whose song fills the air on a warm summer evening.

Rest your head on my shoulder
Convalesce on my couch
We're part of something older
Theres no stopping it now
Operatic at daylight
Choral vespers at dark
Hear the tiny malachi
Little saints of the arc

Breathe your life slowly in my ear
Incandescent and clear
Symphony from the ground

Supersonic in summer
Ginger scotch in my glass
While we sing of the evening
And we lay on the grass
Can I sing with you for our tomorrow
Twisting hair in my mouth
Poetry, sugary, solace of a theme weaver
There's no stopping it now

We pray and seek signs
Reaching up to the divine
When the message is here on the ground

Kerri Lee: Lead vocals, vocal harmonies, acoustic 12 string guitar
Gavin O'Loghlen: Acoustic and electric guitars, C whistles, drums, bass, Hammond B3 organ

5. Inis Aelga

A celebration of the four Celtic festivals of the seasons: Imbolc (spring), Beltane (summer), Lughnasa (autumn) and Samhain (winter).

Comb my hair, roll it up in a bob pin
Imbolc, the promise of a new spring
Green gorse and the ash, willow catkins
Heaven flowers and the goddess kisses our brow

Warm day and the fruit for the taking
Beltane, summer of the making
Whitehorn and the holly for the oak king
Heaven sires with a dance between the bel fires

My heart is filled with an ancient spirit
A distant pull from a secret file (poet)
I know my old blood is free within it
Ah the fir fer (righteous men)
I can be anything now

Golden brown autumn leaves on the red vine
Lughnasa, blackberry dark wine
Priestess, in the ivy the divine
Heaven's light, then the sun god sets into night

All is calm and the virgin is sleeping
Samhain, white winter keeping
Elders of the waters are weeping
Heaven snows then it melts to rivers that flow
And so it goes

Kerri Lee: Vocals Caitlin French: violin Jamie Slocombe: Rhythm guitar & vocals
Blaise MacDonald: Flute Josh Roydhouse: Kawai K 5000 keyboard Chris Jones: lead guitar
Bill McDonald: bass guitar Peter Lee: drums & perussion

6. Cuchulainn

Inspired by a drawing of the Irish mythical hero by John Duncan in 1913. A Celtic revival in art and literature around this time, influenced the push for an independent Republic of Ireland. A statue of Cuchulainn now stands in honour of those who died fighting for this cause.

Oh my love, where are you going
Heavy tread, for a fever much higher
With your sword, hard edged and glowing
Forged from the embers of a mythical fire

Orange red, tired horizons
Distant smoke where you have been
Where you bled, from wounds unknowing
It's so hard, to render them clean

You're too long, in this fight
Is time on your side?
And god, so it's not wrong, to be right
At least not tonight

Heavy chest, covered in leather
But your heart, full of desire
Makes it's weight light as a feather
Upheld by your mystical wires

All strung out in your light
And carrying life
To your blood and your son
Is far too bright
To darken your pride

So they'll leave saints in their wake
Make novices strong
But you've been treading this hard road, forever
A soldier, for too long, for too long
Cuchulainn

There's no fate bound in leather
We're bittersweet, before we are born
In this state, rolling together
Our sight, on the mystical dawn

And we'll see through this night
Attracting the light
That comes, 'cause our sun
Is far too bright
To darken our pride

Kerri Lee: Lead vocals, vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars
Gavin O'Loghlen: Prophet 5, Oberheim, C whistle, piano, D50, samplers

7. Mab Dreams

"I am the fairy Mab; to me 'tis given
The wonders of the human world to keep"
from Shelley's poem Queen Mab; she bestowed dreams upon the human soul, to her even the forces of nature would bow.

Battle weary, she was weak
Suddenly she found the mountain at her feet
Suddenly she drifted from her lengthy sleep
To awaken

She was poisoned by all man
Commonly he stole her wisdom and then ran
Turned it into something christian, something antichrist

And weeping years and years of tears
Are turning tidal waves
Above a burning heart that gave
And gave and gave up, by the wishing well

She has waited for so long
Offering a sole alliance, for a song
Offering to bring the mother, to our minds
She awakens

Beneath, the fire is burning strong
Above all word and far beyond
She whispers in my sleep
And rolls the thunder, if she
So desires to speak

Mab dreams and colours my eyes

Kerri Lee: Lead vocals, vocal harmonies. electric guitar
Gavin O'Loghlen: Acoustic & electric guitars, mandolin, Wurlitzer, Hammond B3, D50, bass, drums

8 Beggar at the Back Door

deals with issues that affect and have affected woman's rights in our society.

Sometimes you make me feel like a beggar child
Holding roses, waiting at the back door
Sometimes it goes from Jesus to neophyte
God did Moses ask you for anything more?

Sometimes you make it seem like you're not there
All the lights on, nobody home
I think you better get up out of that chair
And do it on your own
To start shutting down the west wing
Of my heart

Sometimes you make me feel like a suffragette
Force fed held down in a prison cell
Holding onto that one vote in my head
And I plan to use it so well
To start shutting down the west wing of my heart

You're breaking my heart

Kerri Lee: Vocals Esther Steiner: Operatic vocals Caitlin French: Violin Jamie Slocombe: Vocals & rythm guitar Blaise MacDonald: Flute Josh Roydhouse: Kawai 5000 keyboard
Chris Jones: Lead & rythm guitar Bill McDonald: Bass Peter Lee: Drums & percussion

9. Christ in a Waterfall

is a story about the battles of faith.

Moonchild there's a hole on the highway
Just a bold piece of sky you can slip through
Just a sound on the wind coming my way

Sunchild there's a colour in the sky today
Just a bold piece of paint that you dripped on
Splashing down , anywhere

Breathe it in as a half drowned lap dog
Blow it out as a pissed off demigog
Lay it down till it's sleeping at your feet
Send it out to the rest of the universe
Beam it up to the first borne satellite
'Til it bows to the force of gravity

Moonchild there's a chill in my warm breast
Is your will just a spill from a wet dream
Seeping through the walls of reality
Or a burst with a christ in a waterfall
Executed by the law of gravity
Crashing down, pieces in the sea

Pushed round by a strong Poseidon
Outrun by a bold Odysseus
Flown home by the spirits of the underworld
They all thought he was born yesterday
Came down in the last cold shower
'Til his hot wind, blew them all away

Moonchild the sun let it get away
Catch it while it's still on fire
Throw it back while we stand a chance

Their shout sounds a worn out siren
Drowned out by it's own deaf bitterness
All the same to the rain when it floods for days
They all thought she was born yesterday
Came down in the last cold shower
'Til her hot wind, blew them all away

Kerri Lee: Lead vocals, vocal harmonies. acoustic guitar
Gavin O'Loghlen: Electric guitars, C whistle, Hammond B3, D50, bass, drums

10. Folk Song

A celebration of this wonderful country, Australia and our rich heritage.

I was born with the sun on my back
Fire in this world burns everything black
There's dust in our eyes and our feet on the cracks
And a hot north wind prevailing

I was born with the rain on my tongue
And just an inkling of where I've come from
There's a little memory in my father's song
And now, it's still remaining

Forgive me, I'm not sure which lore I see
But don't hold me down
Cause my time has come around

I was born where the stars cross the south
And the words taken out of my mouth
Well they shoved me in just to shove others out
And now we all try to save it

I was born with this land in my heart
It's wild white surf and it's beautiful sharks
And that rainbow serpent in the true people's art
Well I'm just so glad to be here

Kerri Lee: Lead vocals, vocal harmonies. acoustic guitar
Gavin O'Loghlen: Acoustic 12 string guitars, C whistle, Hammond B3, banjo, bass, drums

12. Mona

Mona was one of the last sanctuaries of the Druids, an island off the west coast of Britain attacked by the Romans in 60 A.D.

Pour out your wicked spell on me
'Cause I could use it
Mona, you're older than July
And you never really died
I'll throw you garlands on the sea
Of special flowers
Mona, I thought I heard you cry

So call out to me
I'll guard your secret well
Sacred all three
And moving closer

I'll lay your stones along the shore
If I can do it
A shrine, a memory and more
But you never really died
The soldiers turning in their sleep
And long forgotten
No longer here to make you weep

So reach out to me
I'll guard your spirit well
Sacred all three
And moving closer

D'Aiseiri D'Aiseiri
Near from so very far away
Clear as the coming day
Moves through her sign

So pour out your wicked spell on me
'Cause I could use it
For now, the cauldrons are alive
And Angel's by my side
I'll throw you garlands on the sea
Of special flowers
Mona, you never really died
